Dockyard Apprentice School Apprenticeship Training 2012

India (DLN): Dockyard Apprentice School, Naval Dockyard, Mumbai invites applications for enrolment to Apprenticeship Training 2012. Total number of vacancies is 280. Candidates with ITI qualification in the relevant trades can apply. Duration of apprenticeship will be from 1 year to 2 years depending upon the trades. Training will begin from April 2012. Distribution of vacancies is as follows:

1 year training:

1) Machinist (20)

2) Painter General (30)

3) Engine Fitter (25)

4) Instrument Mechanic (15)

5) Welder (10)

6) Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance (20)

7) Electroplater (5)

8) Mason (B.B.) (15)

2 years training:

1) Diesel Mechanic (20)

2) Power Electrician (20)  

3) Shipwright Steel (25)  

4) Foundry Man (5)  

5) Rigor (20)  

6) Mechanic Radio & Radio (Aircraft) (10)  

7) Shipwright Wood (15)  

8) Ship Fitter (20)

Qualification required is Matriculation/10^th with 50% marks and ITI with 65 percent marks. Candidates for some trades require additional qualifications.
